Jason Segel and Harrison Ford are Troubled Therapists in Trailer for Shrinking

Apple TV+ had found a surprise feel-good hit with Ted Lasso, and now it looks like they’re going to be doing the same thing with Jason Segel and Harrison Ford.

Shrinking is a series set to premiere on Apple TV later this month, and we have a new trailer showcasing Segel and Ford as troubled therapists looking for something to live for. Watch this:

Here’s the series description:

Shrinking follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives…including his own.

The show comes from Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence as well as Segel himself, and Lasso star Brett Goldstein. Besides Ford and Segel, the show also features Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, and Lukita Maxwell.

With Segel being best known for his role as Marshall in How I Met Your Mother, he’s steadily moved on to more artsy projects (like Windfall and Winning Time), some of which he actually wrote himself.  It’s going to be interesting watching him act alongside Ford, who is also a notorious grump offscreen. Maybe the two have some kind of winning chemistry that I can’t wait to see unfold.

With Ted Lasso 3 set to come out later this year, this should hold fans over while they wait for that show to come back.

Catch Shrinking when it premieres on Apple TV+ on Jan. 27.
