After the release of Halloween Kills last year, Jamie Lee Curtis is ready to end this new batch of Halloween films this October.
Watch the new trailer for Halloween Ends:
Here’s the official story description:
Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
It’s been 45 years since the first time we’ve watched Curtis clash with one of cinema’s most iconic slashers, and we’ve seen her evolve from final girl to the character that actively hunts the killer out.
Admittedly, the Halloween reboot/relaunch hasn’t been met with the best critic scores, but the movies have managed to rejuvenate the franchise for a new generation of audiences, and it’s going to be interesting to see just how they put a cap on the character of Laurie and her relationship with killer Michael Myers.
Halloween Ends once and for all (or probably just for a few years) this Oct. 14.
