“iZombie” Season 4 is finally ready to chill your bones with a mix of heightened comedy and drama in the premiere episode titled “Are You Ready for Some Zombies?” Intensified with an outraged conflict between Olive “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver), Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley), Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli), Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) and the show’s enduring antagonist Blaine DeBeers (David Anders), with other new antagonists elusively making more cases hard to solve.
The New World Order
As Team Z worries no more from isolation and hiding, humans revere blurs towards coexisting half-alive species. Paranoia over their security escalated to violence over their fellow. Increasing number of infection of zombie-ism has also increased multiple Big Bads. And though Liv unquestionably detests Blaine, she has to work with him because of his political linkages intimately. Liv and Blaine’s familiar friends and enemies leave Liv in an intangible border on her relationship with Blaine, who always gives confusing remarks on his actions whether or not he is a friend or a foe.
According to ScreenRant, New Seattle (human and zombie population in Seattle walled off from the rest of the country) comes with the new things “iZombie” Season 4 is about to bring with a lot of new faces and opportunities of entertainment. Liv’s “superpowers,” having to portray different personas along with Major, serves as a hotbed of comedy and drama opportunities in coping with the new world order.
The hope for cure obnubilated
Ravi has yet to give up on finding a cure to zombie-ism to a level of desperation. To recall on “iZombie” Season 3, Ravi asked Liv to scratch him for him to be able to test the zombie vaccine on himself. In “iZombie” Season 4’s trailer, Ravi was aggressively feeding on a brain! Can he finally find the cure or is he going to live up with the “perks” of being a zombie just like Liv does?
“Weirdly I think it’s funnier than season prior, I really do. I think that they’ve just kind of heightened the contrast a bit,” said series star Mclver sharing her insights on “iZombie” Season 4 in an interview with ScreenRant. “It’s a strong drama and strong comedy. I believe we have in those grave situations you have to have a sense of humor about things because how else do you get through?”
“iZombie” Season 4 premieres Monday, February 26th with “Are You Ready for Some Zombies?” at 9/8c on The CW.
