It’s Barry vs. Gene in Official Trailer for Barry Season 3

It’s been a long wait since 2019, but the third season of Barry is finally here, and Bill Hader is back as the mercenary-turned-thespian. Just in, we have a new trailer and it gives us a look at the eventual clash between Barry (Bill Hader) and his acting teacher Gene (Henry Winkler).

The official plot synopsis for Season 3 reads:

“Desperate to leave his violent past behind in favor of his newfound passion, Barry (Hader) is attempting to untangle himself from the world of contract killing and fully immerse himself in acting. But getting out is messy. While Barry has eliminated many of the external factors that pushed him towards violence, he soon discovers they weren’t the only forces at play. What is it about his own psyche that led him to become a killer in the first place? Season three finds Barry and the other characters trying to make the right choice.”

A lot of praise has gone the way of Barry, and there has been critical acclaim when it comes to Bill Hader’s performance. Though Hader is a solid lead for the show, it’s also worth noting that he’s surrounded by an amazing cast that includes Henry Winkler, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, and Anthony Carrigan.

Catch Barry Season 3 when it premieres on HBO Max on April 24.
