LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation premieres on Disney+ today, and if you haven’t planned on checking it out yet, there’s a new clip from the special which has the Empire celebrating a Scarif Beach Party.
Check it out:
It’s just a short snippet of Vader and Palpatine arguing about the entire party, but we also have a small cameo from LEGO Weird Al Yankovic who wrote an original song for the movie called Scarif Beach Party.
Though the clip does have characters from the OT era, these LEGO specials are known to cover all eras of Star Wars—so we should also expect scenes with characters like Rey, Finn, or maybe even all eras of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
After the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, I think it’s pretty neat that Disney found a way for Star Wars to have some kind of presence with every major holiday. I mean, the fans can get pretty self-serious, but I’m sure these shorts are great for the real core audience of Star Wars—the kids.
Maybe there’ll be another Halloween special later in the year, but until then we can just enjoy this summer-themed special.
“LEGO® Star Wars Summer Vacation,” which is set shortly after the events of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” features the voices of “Weird Al” Yankovic, Yvette Nicole Brown, Kelly Marie Tran, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, and returning cast members from previous “LEGO Star Wars” specials, and includes “Weird Al’s” new original song, Scarif Beach Party.
LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation is now on Disney+.
