‘It’s A Lot’: Barbie Director Teases Several Looks for Ryan Gosling’s Ken

We know that Margot Robbie is at the center of the upcoming Barbie movie, but there is also a lot of buzz surrounding her co-star Ryan Gosling who is going to be playing the equally fabulous Ken.

Though leaked set photos have already given us some of the looks of Gosling in the film, director Greta Gerwig says that is only the tip of the huge iceberg that are Ken’s costumes in the film. Talking to Variety, Gerwig was asked about Ken’s looks in the movie, to which she confirms, “I really, I couldn’t say, but it’s a lot — it’s a lot, it’s a lot.” She also added that what the fans are speculating is “not even close.”

With fashion being an integral part of the Barbie brand, it was only natural that her boyfriend would have the same kind of passion. They even poked fun at this with the Ken in Toy Story 3 played by Michael Keaton:

So far, the plot for Barbie is still unknown, but there is a rumor going around that Robbie and Gosling are only playing one version of Barbie and Ken, and several other actors will take on the role of Barbie or Ken in a place called ‘Barbieland’. The story is said to have Barbie and Ken finding themselves in the real world, and it will be up to the cartoonish boss of Mattel (Will Ferrell) to bring them back.

Again, these are just rumors, but until we get some official news, it’s all we really have. Hopefully we get a preview drop before the year ends.
