Isla Fisher is Hiding Something from Josh Gad in New Trailer for Wolf Like Me

Josh Gad and Isla Fisher are stars best known for their works on comedy and romance, but it looks like they’ll be jumping into some darker, surreal property with this new trailer for Peacock’s Wolf Like Me.

Everyone brings their own set of baggage to a new relationship. Gary (Josh Gad) and Mary (Isla Fisher) are no different. Gary is an emotional wreck and struggles to provide for his daughter since the death of his wife. Mary has a secret she can’t bring herself to share with anyone. The universe brought these two together for a reason, they just need to keep following the signs.

Though the premise of the series pretty much feels like a drama, there are some odd elements that might suggest that something more mystical is taking place. For one, there are several shots of Fisher’s character just running, and we have an ominous shot of Gad looking through a door that’s covered in scratches.

Is Isla Fisher supposed to be playing some werewolf? If anything, she’s the one who has a big mystery surrounding her, and we’re probably going to spend the season trying to put together the puzzle. While a werewolf plot might seem to come out of nowhere, shows like Midnight Mass on Netflix have been creative when it comes to bringing back classic horror figures.

Then again, maybe Wolf Like Me will be entirely different. Catch the series when it premieres on Peacock on Jan. 13.
