Lidia points the gun at Anya and then at herself. Anya insists on helping Lidia, but she tells her nobody can help her. She tells Lidia that what happened at the church was not her fault because it wasn’t her. Someone was controlling Lidia and Miguel’s minds. Anya asks her to tell her what happened. Lidia says she was in a room, getting ready with her bridesmaid, and then she heard music like someone was humming, which scared her. She felt like she‘s drowning. She couldn’t move or blink, and she felt something like there was someone above her watching. Then she woke up feeling so scared that she just ran. Anya asks how she knew Yannick Mair. Lidia says he‘s a guy who told them to deliver Temple of Debod’s security details to Puoco Franco. A guy suddenly grabs Anya. She fights back, but then a woman also appears to fight her. Chauncey and Chris get out of the car to find Anya in the cemetery. Anya’s body is suddenly nowhere to be seen, but Chris and Chauncey eventually find her lying on the ground.
Chauncey tends to Anya’s open wound in front of the mirror. He asks Anya what happened when they found her naked on the ground. She says she went into camo mode. She can camouflage her skin by bending light around her. She also collects DNA when she touches somebody’s skin to become like them. Anya goes home to where she and Becca are staying. She takes a bath with ice in the water, which makes her body show light traveling her body.
In another flashback, Faina told Anya she couldn’t believe she had found her pendant. Faina said she‘s falling in love with her.
Chauncey says the optic cameras in Anya’s eyes are worth every penny. Chris shows the people in the cemetery who attacked Anya and took Lidia. They call themselves “Jackals,” who pimp their services to the highest bidder. Chris scans their images into INTERPOL’s database. One of the guys is Carmo Valter, dishonorably discharged from Special Forces based in Alicante.
Chauncey goes to see Davi to ask about the mark he saw on the guy who attacked Anya. Davi tells him that a group in Madrid uses it to trademark their meth drugs. Chauncey, Anya, and Chris are together again. Chris tells them he scaled down Puoco Franco’s distribution markets in four neighborhoods. Each hood has its version of the Puoco Franco street tag. They’re all similar but have subtle differences. After all four attacks, Yannick’s bank records have a hundred thousand euros deposited into his account. Chris thinks that maybe Yannick promised the victims a cut in exchange for security intel.
Anya goes home to change. The yellow thing on her back lights up and flows through her body. She‘s morphing again. This time it‘s Su-Yin.
In another flashback, Anya’s was walking somewhere while a woman‘s voice told her that everything was going as planned since Faina was falling in love with her. Soon, she‘d get inside the Chinese Embassy. Anya told her she was being followed, so she chased the person following her. As soon as the man was about to tell her something, he got shot by the person wearing a black coat. The person who got killed was an SVR, and he’s part of the group Anya belonged to.
Anya approaches a guy in a car using Su-Yin’s body. She asks if the guy is selling Puoco Franco and buys one of them. Anya brings the Puoco Franco to Chauncey for a test. The micro-threaded euros Anya used to pay make it to the Barrio De Las Letras and stop moving. It‘s somewhere near Calle de Echegaray, in a nightclub.
Anya’s in bed searching for a guy she knows named Felipe Calero. She doesn’t know him personally, but she knows guys like him. Chauncey and Anya go to a nightclub with Anya in disguise. They go around the club and make a scene. Suddenly, the club owner, Felipe Calero, asks Anya if she‘s okay. Anya introduces herself as Sara and goes inside a room with Felipe. Felipe and Anya start to talk about themselves. Anya uses a cover-up story about her life. She even says she started taking a palm reading class and tells him to let her see his left hand. She reads it like someone who knows palm reading very well. She says his hand is round and long, which means he’s probably artistic and philosophical. The line between his middle and first fingers shows he’s spoiled and had a lot of attention growing up. Andrés, his brother, suddenly comes to him because of a problem. Before going, Felipe asks Anya to stay because he won’t be long. He says he‘d like to continue the reading.
Anya morphs her palm into Felipe‘s to enter the private room. The room looks like an adjoining level of rooms. Anya finds Lidia in the room — alive. Anya removes her clothes and then camouflages when she hears someone coming. Felipe asks Lidia who‘s the woman with her in the graveyard. Lidia tells him she doesn’t know. Felipe tells his nephew, Ramon, to fight Lidia. Even if Lidia doesn’t want to fight, she must protect herself from Ramon. Ramon punches Lidia in the face. Lidia fights back. Felipe announces Lidia as the winner but suddenly shoots her in the head. Afterward, Felipe also shoots Ramon in the head. Felipe tells the other guys that they have one loyalty — to Los Jinetes. He also says they must find the woman. Anya watched everything inside the room. She hated that she couldn‘t do something to save Lidia.
Our Thoughts
Why did they kidnap Lidia? They couldn’t have gotten any information from her. It would‘ve been better if they had left her alone. Felipe didn’t intend to keep Lidia alive. He just made Lidia and Ramon fight for entertainment. Even if Ramon only knew Lidia, he was labeled a traitor. Ramon even told his brother that he was his uncle’s favorite, but it turns out he was not.
It could‘ve been bad if Anya had stopped blending in. We doubt Felipe would hesitate to kill her if she‘s a threat. It would be nice if she’s not always alone whenever they send her on missions like such.
