We may not be getting the next season of Big Mouth yet, but Nick Kroll and his team are ready to come back to the world with the spinoff Human Resources. Just in, we got the release date for the second season, and we have a tease for incoming guest stars.
Check this out:
As per the announcement, Human Resources 2 comes to Netflix on June 9, and we have a tease for guest stars Florence Pugh and Miley Cyrus. Last season, the series had voice appearances from Hugh Jackman, Ali Wong, Thandiwe Newton, Henry Winkler, Lupita Nyong’o, and Jemaine Clement; let’s also not forget about Big Mouth guest appearances like John Mulaney reprising the role of Andrew.
For now, Netflix has actually renewed Big Mouth for an eight and final season, and Human Resources is set to end with its second. I’ll admit, the shows have a very particular brand of humor, but you have to love how each season tackles a different kind of psychological issue and tries to simplify them with the concept of monsters; even Family Guy or The Simpsons can’t come up with thematic episodes like Human Resources and Big Mouth has.
Though I will be sad to see the show go, Big Mouth has managed to be the longest running adult animated series on Netflix, beating out shows like F is for Family and BoJack Horseman. Not even Inside Job managed to survive the axe, but I’m hoping Netflix has a change of heart and decides to bring it back, especially with Big Mouth ending.
Human Resources comes to Netflix on June 9.
