Hugh Jackman: Deadpool 3 will Use Time Travel to Keep Logan Timeline Intact

Hugh Jackman pretty much said good-bye to the Wolverine role with Logan a few years back, but he is somehow coming back to star alongside Ryan Reynolds for a team-up movie with Deadpool 3. Before anyone thinks that they’re bringing Logan back from the dead, Jackman confirmed that there will be some time travel involved as to not mess with James Mangold’s sendoff film.

Talking to SiriusXM (via @DeadpoolUpdate), Jackman confirmed, “It’s all because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines… Now we can go back because, you know, it’s science. So, I don’t have to screw with the Logan timeline, which was important to me. And I think probably to the fans too.”

If you remember the last Deadpool movie, DP actually gets his hands on Cable’s time travel device and he uses it to change certain things in the timeline. Though it made for a fun gag, fans speculate that it could be a narrative tool to have the TVA from Loki going after Wade Wilson, and after some shenanigans ensue, it will end with him making the main MCU timeline his new home.

I’m just hoping he manages to bring back some characters from his universe like Blind Al, Domino, and Cable. I would even love it if they doubled down on his arc and brought along Firefist, because Julian Dennison was still fun to watch.
