House of the Dragon: Check Out Viserys’ Massive Model of Old Valyria

When we were introduced to Viserys Targaryen, it was revealed that he had a sort of hobby in his room where he was trying to recreate a model of Old Valyria. With the model pretty much telling its own story in the series, HBO has released an inside look at the making of Old Valyria and how it changed throughout the course of the show.
Watch this:
If you hadn’t noticed before, Viserys’ model of Valyria actually expands as the years pass, but by the end of the series, we see that it’s dusty and full of cobwebs because Viserys couldn’t tend to it after he became too sick to move.
A lot of fans are actually wondering what would happen to Viserys ‘model train set’ after his passing. With the Hightowers continuing their rise to power, I would imagine that they would want to trash anything ‘old’ and Targaryen, but maybe it could find its way to the Citadel of maesters in Old Town—seeing as it is an educational tool.
Amazingly enough, though Viserys has been portrayed as a ‘useless’ king throughout the show, he has managed to take the spotlight in his last episode, standing up for Rhaenyra’s claim. No doubt, fans are infuriated that the greens would willingly misinterpret Viserys’ last words, but if that didn’t happen, we wouldn’t be having a show.
Catch the finale episode of House of the Dragon when it airs on HBO Max this coming Sunday.
