Henry Cavill is Sporting the Weirdest Haircut in First Image from Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle

Director Matthew Vaughn has been showing us his take on the spy genre with the Kingsman movies, but now he’s set to go outside of the Kingsman canon for a whole new adventure film—but it’s still about spies though.

No synopsis has been revealed for the film, but the story is said to be based on a novel by Ellie Conway, which is still in the works.

As per ComicBookMovie, the story is said to focus on a world-class spy (Cavill) who has suffered a case of amnesia, and he’s somehow tricked into thinking that he’s the best spy novelist. With a haircut as ridiculous as the one Cavill has, I’m thinking that the film is aiming to kickstart an action-comedy franchise.

While fans have been waiting for Cavill’s return as Superman, he has been keeping busy with spy films. Besides Napoleon Solo in The Man from UNCLE, he’s also played spy roles in Mission: Impossible – Fallout as well as The Cold Light of Day. Add to that the lead role in Netflix’s Witcher, and you have one hell of a busy hunk.

Besides Cavill, the movie also has Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, and Samuel L. Jackson. We don’t know when we’re going to get our first trailer, but with that much stars in the cast, everyone will want to see what’s up with Argylle.

No release date has been set for Argylle, but the movie is expected to premiere on Apple TV+ later this year.
