‘Him & I’ Couple Halsey and G-Eazy Breaks Up After a Year of Dating

Singer Halsey and rapper G-Eazy just broke up after a year of dating. Halsey confirmed it on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, “G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart.”

Speculations started when Halsey posted a picture with her dog on her Instagram and wrote, “Kiss my dog on the forehead and then kiss your ass goodbye.” Halsey later confirmed it, saying that the people should know their relationship status because of their public nature. Halsey also said that she wants to have more time for her art and career. “I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel I need to inform my fans,” Halsey wrote.

G- Eazy is currently in Paris for a video shoot for YSL, followed by his appearance on Good Morning New York on Friday. Indeed, it could be so stressful for the rapper to go back and forth. G-Eazy posted a selfie on his way to Paris and captioned it with “Sheeeeeesh… Life’s hella crazy.” This statement connotes a double a meaning for what he is going through—one could be because of the stress brought about by his job, and one could be the fallout of his breakup with Halsey. Aside from G-Eazy’s Instagram post, the rapper has yet to issue a statement about the split.

Halsey and G-Eazy first teamed up for their song “Him & I,” which led fans to call the pair the “Him & I” couple. The singer and rapper’s track went on to become a sure hit, with it garnering numerous #1 spots on various radio charts. According to E! News G-Eazy said that sharing a song with the person he’s actually in love and dating is “dope.”

“She’s a queen. I think the world of her for real,” the rapper said.
