GRIMM Exclusive: Uncomfortable Truths are Exposed in

How far would you go for your child?

That's a recurring theme in this week's episode of Grimm as Nick investigates a bereaved scientist whose colleagues are dropping like flies, while Monroe finds fatherhood thrust upon him all too suddenly, and Renard faces an uncomfortable truth about his daughter Diana.

In "The Son Also Rises" Nick (David Giuntoli) Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) find themselves stumped by a series of impossible clues during an investigation unlike any they have had before.

Meanwhile, as the research continues into the origins of the cloth, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) learn that Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) is still feeling the after effects of the death grip.

And Renard (Sasha Roiz) secretly reaches out to an old friend to get answers to the origins of the symbols drawn by Diana.

We've seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at NBC, and have a collection of tidbits and teasers to share with you below. As always, we avoid outright plot point reveals and spoilers that would ruin your enjoyment of the episode. However, we urge you to take caution nonetheless, as who's to say exactly what constitutes a spoiler, and who are these ScreenSpy people anyway?

Renard’s Uncomfortable Discovery

Renard has been (justifiably) sidelined from all things stick, cloth, and prophesy related lately, and with good reason. From what we know of our favorite precinct Captain, he would most likely attempt to seek an opportunity to seize power given half the chance.

However Renard is not without powerful connections of his own, and this week we will see him opening up a parallel investigation of his own into Diana’s drawings.

What he uncovers might just persuade him to get on board with Nick and his friends after all.
