Martin Scorsese may find himself trending whenever he throws flak at Marvel movies, but he’s recently teamed up with Apple TV+ for his next movie Killers of the Flower Moon starring Leondardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro.
The movie is set to come out in October, and we have our first teaser for the film. Check this out:
Here’s the official synopsis of the film:
Based on David Grann’s broadly lauded best-selling book, Killers of the Flower Moon is set in 1920s Oklahoma and depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, a string of brutal crimes that came to be known as the Reign of Terror.
Besides DiCaprio and De Niro, the cast also includes Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, and Jillian Dion. Fans will also recognize The Whale star Brendan Fraser, though he admittedly isn’t as portly as he was in the Aronofsky movie.
Though a lot of people like to tease Scorsese for his penchant of mobster movies, he does have some interesting historical films that also have huge emphasis in culture. Before Killers of the Flower Moon, Scorsese also directed Silence, Kundun, and The Last Temptation of Christ.
At 80-years-old, it’s kind of amazing how he’s still pushing out movies. Let’s just hope Killers isn’t as drawn out as The Irishman.
Killers of the Flower Moon premieres in theaters on Oct. 6.
