Giselle is Turning Wicked in New Clip from Disenchanted

Enchanted fans have been waiting for a sequel for decades, and this weekend will finally deliver Giselle’s next adventure with Disenchanted. The film is set to release on Disney+, and we have a new clip of Amy Adams transforming into a ‘wicked step-mother’.

Watch this:

Giselle’s turn has been teased in previous trailers for the movie, but I guess this clip confirms that she’s kind of aware of the transformation, and we get to see her try to stop turning ‘wicked.’

You have to hand it to Amy Adams, she usually does very serious roles in films, but it’s fun to watch her be this hyper-optimistic Disney princess who is just jumping on tropes left and right. Now we actually get to watch her be the evil step-mom this time, and it’s going to be a bit of fun.

I’ll say, I’m kind of bummed they didn’t release this in theaters, but at least we’re finally getting the movie after we’ve waiting so long.

It has been 15 years since Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) wed, but Giselle has grown disillusioned with life in the city, so they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairy tale life. Unfortunately, it isn’t the quick fix she had hoped for. Suburbia has a whole new set of rules and a local queen bee, Malvina Monroe (Maya Rudolph), who makes Giselle feel more out of place than ever. Frustrated that her happily ever after hasn’t been so easy to find, she turns to the magic of Andalasia for help, accidentally transforming the entire town into a real-life fairy tale and placing her family’s future happiness in jeopardy. Now, Giselle is in a race against time to reverse the spell and determine what happily ever after truly means to her and her family.

Disenchanted premieres on Disney+ on Nov. 18.
