Ghosted: Ana de Armas and Chris Evans Reunite in Action-Comedy

Chris Evans and Ana de Armas went head-to-head in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, and now one is head-over-heels for the other in the new trailer for Apple TV+’s Ghosted movie.

Check this out:

Here’s the official description:

Salt-of-the-earth Cole (Evans) falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie (de Armas)—but then makes the shocking discovery that she’s a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world.

I’ll admit, I thought that the movie was just going to be a rom-com about modern dating, but the trailer does a hard left and we end up getting an action-comedy movie with more stars including Adrien Brody (who is also a Rian Johnson collaborator).

If anything, it’s kind of fun to see Chris Evans embracing silly roles again. Ever since he was cast as Captain America, it seemed like he was only being cast in straight, serious action roles, but before that, Evans was always more of a funny guy, with roles like Jensen in The Losers and Johnny Storm a.k.a. The Human Torch in Fantastic Four.

As for Armas, this feels like she’s expanding her agent character from No Time to Die. After a serious dramatic turn with Blonde, this movie should be a breather from all that ‘serious’ acting she did with that film.

Catch Ghosted  when it starts streaming on Apple TV+ on April 21.
