Get Ready for Some More Surrealist Comedy in New Trailer for Atlanta 3

It was 2018 when we got the last season of FX’s Atlanta, but Earn and the rest are set to make their comeback this year with Atlanta 3. The series is set to return later this month, and we have a new trailer to give us an idea for what’s in store for the Paper Boi crew.

Taking place almost entirely in Europe, Season 3 of Atlanta finds “Earn” (Donald Glover), “Alfred ‘Paper Boi’ Miles” (Brian Tyree Henry), “Darius” (LaKeith Stanfield) and “Van” (Zazie Beetz) in the midst of a successful European tour, as the group navigates their new surroundings as outsiders, and struggle to adjust to the newfound success they had aspired to.

Though Glover is best known for his comedy work, Atlanta has proven to be quite the unique show. While there are certainly some comedy elements to the series, there is also a lot of surrealist drama, and we can never really tell what hurdle a character is going to go through when an episode starts.

With the series not really having a straightforward story, Atlanta is kind of open to go wherever it pleases. With Robbin’ Season themed around each character being robbed of something in every episode, I wonder what kind of meta-theme this third season is going to have for Earn and the rest of the characters. Hopefully  Glover and the crew haven’t ran out of ideas yet.
