Get Inside the Character of Wendesday Addams in New Featurette

The Addams Family may have found a new identity in the box office with the animated medium, but Netflix has teamed up with Tim Burton for a live-action route with Wednesday. The series is set to come out later this year, and we have a new featurette getting inside the mind of Jenna Ortega’s version of the fan-favorite Addams.

Though the series does have a lot of the same elements of the now-cancelled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Wednesday does shine in a sense that she’s a spinoff of an IP that’s meant to be comedic satire. I guess at some point, Sabrina kind of took itself too seriously.

Though we do get a lot of Wednesday in the show, I am curious about the rest of her weird family. We had already caught glimpses of Morticia and Gomez Addams, but it would be fun to see characters like Uncle Fester or Grandmama Addams show up in some episodes.

I guess it’s also worth mentioning that one of the OG Wednesdays Christina Ricci is cast in the show, but it’s a mystery who she’s going to be playing.

Wednesday still has no release date, but it’s very likely that Netflix will want to debut this darkly humorous girl sometime around Halloween.
