Get a Good Look at Mirage in Super Bowl Spot for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

A lot of fans thought that Autobat Jazz was coming back for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, but it turned out to be a completely new character called Mirage. Thanks to the latest Super Bowl, we have a new spot for Transformers and it gives the spotlight to this new illusion-generating robot.

Check it out:

This is actually our first good look at Mirage’s design, plus we get a little bit of what his character is going to be like in the movie. If anything, it’s just as much of an ad for Porsche as it is for Rise of the Beasts, what with the film changing Mirage’s vehicle mode from a Ferrari to a Porsche (which was Jazz’s alternate mode).

For a movie called Rise of the Beasts, you’d think they would give us a look at more of the Maximals or Predacons. With the whole Beast Wars conflict having to do with time travel, I’m curious if this sequel is going to be confirming that this story takes place in an alternate timeline from the Michael Bay movies.

Here’s the official description for the film:

Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.

Catch Transformers: Rise of the Beasts when it comes to cinemas on June 9.
