We only have a few weeks to go before we finally witness what’s to come in “Game of Thrones” Season 7. With that in mind, a second trailer has been released by HBO, giving us more glimpses of war, white walkers, dragons, flaming swords and more war than ever before. Oh and did we mention, war?
Despite having three less episodes than the normal ten-episode count, the seventh season of “Game of Thrones” has been building up an intense hype around it as it was previously scheduled for a later premiere. Its been a custom for “Game of Thrones” to air around April, but due to the episode changes and recent news of spin-offs, we now come to a July release.
Lucky for us, the anticipation for the show seems to be worth the grueling wait as the show will be bringing together all the characters into a war that goes out in horrific magnitude.
Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer #2: Winter Is Here
Last month, we were given our first tease of “Game of Thrones” Season 7. We saw Daenerys Targaryen setting foot in Westeros for the first time, Arya Stark’s return to the North, Jon Snow’s ongoing battle between the Others, Dany’s fiery dragons, and the Dothraki and Unsullied forces battling it out against the Lannister’s army. Photos were also released, teasing Bran Stark, Samwell Tarly and more characters returning to the show.
Now, the network has just released a second full-length trailer, and it’s every bit exciting and thrilling as the first one. Most of the scenes included in the trailer are out of context, merely brushing at what the different characters’ fate might be.
We see more of the war between the White Walkers with Jon, Beric and the Northerners. Dany’s army and full shots of her three dragons are also shown, along with some help from the Greyjoys, Theon and Yara (Asha in the books). Bran Stark is also shown, teasing of his greater role in the Great War.
The new trailer for “Game of Thrones” season 7 gives us more context as what was previously shown in the first trailer. We also see a shot of Arya, but it’s still unclear if she is headed North or not. Tyrion is also shown hanging out by a cliff, possibly on a lookout or scouting. And then comes one of the best scenes in the trailer: Beric wielding a flaming sword. It looks like the battle in the North will heat up quickly, and we can only hope that Dany’s dragons will come to save the day as well.
With this battle between the White Walkers and the people of the seven kingdoms is imminent, we also know that small plotlines and conflicts are aslo going to be handled. And given how “Game of Thrones” executes war and conflict in a rather fashionable manner, we can’t help but be more anxious of the events that we will finally see once the show premieres on July 16.
