Game of Thrones Season 7: Long Walk Promo Video Released

It’s only a matter of months before “Game of Thrones” goes back to the small screen. The series is on it’s A-game for marketing and promo, and they couldn’t be more than satisfying. A few details about the show have trickled out in the past few months, but other than that, it’s as far as we know. The “Game of Thrones” showrunners are doing a great job of securing any possible leaks, so there’s very little meat that we fans can munch on. Earlier this month, the first teaser came out, warning all of Westeros of the “Great War” to come.

But aside from the presumed great battle with the White Walkers, the Iron Throne in King’s Landing remains vacant and contended by the Big Three: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei Lannister. It’s going to be a point of reference for the Season, as Cersei would have to deal with Jon and Daenerys for her to maintain her grasp on the Throne. And in today’s new trailer title “Long Walk,” the three-way battle is teased.

Game of Thrones: Who sits on the throne?

Debuting on “Game of Thrones” official YouTube channel earlier today, the promo starts with a montage of the three making their way to each of their thrones. It’s a parallel between each character’s rise to power. It then ends with Cersei breathing a cold, wintry air, hinting at the arrival of the White Walkers in King’s Landing.

The first promo for season 7 gave us a hint that the war between the White Walkers is an apparent event in the land of Westeros, but this new promo sheds more light on the role of Cersei, Jon and Danaerys. The Big Three will be caught up in the center of their own battles, and each of their armies will be one of the key elements leading into the “Great War.”

Shorter But Action-Packed ‘Thrones’ Season

We know that the final two seasons of “Game of Thrones” will be shorter than the standard 10-episode run, but bigger in terms of scale. Speaking to Screen Rant, Kit Harrington revealed that ‘Thrones’ will be more visually ambitious and action-packed. This follows Season 6’s massive Battle of the Bastards. Daenerys’ dragons in season 7 are also said to be the size of airplanes as well.

It’s only a matter of time before we travel back to Westeros to witness the huge battle to come. The stakes are going to be higher than it’s ever been for the Houses that we’ve all learned to love and hate. Winter is finally here.

“Game of Thrones” returns July 16. Watch the new promo video below:
