Game Of Thrones Season 7: Jorah Mormont’s Possible Death Teased

It’s only a matter of time before we finally see “Game of Thrones” back in the small screen this July. This will be the second-to-the-last season for the show, and it is also where the great showdown for the Iron Throne happens. Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) are all vying for the throne, but it might just be a battle for nothing as the Great War with the White Walkers is also imminent.
This is also where we’ll all be seeing Daenerys return to Westeros, with an armada of allies ready to take on the Lannisters and whoever tries to stop her. In the past seasons of “Game of Thrones,” Ser Jorah Mormont was always beside Khaleesi. But if you would remember, Jorah was infected with the greyscale and is now looking for a cure. Iain Glen, who plays the character, just revealed a major bit about Jorah’s role in season 7.
Jorah Mormont Might Not Make It Through Game of Thrones
In an interview with Stuff, Glen talked about his role, how he loved Jorah so much, and the high casualty count for the coming season. He revealed that there is a huge possibility that Ser Jorah Mormont might be taken over by the greyscale infection and die. Glen also said that brutal deaths will be a common exit strategy for a few “Game of Thrones” characters. The infection that Jorah is suffering from is currently incurable, so it’s the closest thing that we can figure out as the cause of his death.
It will be a heartbreaking sight for us to see Jorah die, but we all know that “Game of Thrones” is known to kill off characters brutally. All the main characters have made it this far, so every one is doing a good job of surviving.
It’s important to take this in a grain of salt, as it is not really a confirmation of Jorah’s death. Glen is simply saying that his death may be coming, but not sooner or later. If you go back to the “Game of Thrones” books, he’s still alive. So it’s also a possibility that he might live to see whoever sits on the Iron Throne.
“Game of Thrones” season 7 premieres July 16 on HBO.
