Game of Thrones Casts Charming And Dangerous Jaqen H’ghar

German actor Tom Wlaschiha (Valkyrie, Munich) has landed a role in season 2 of Game of Thrones, it emerged today.

Wlaschiha will play Jaqen H’ghar, a sly, enigmatic, charming and dangerous criminal.

Jaqen is among those Night’s Watch recruits taken from Kings Landing by Yoren during the first season.  Jaqen will accompany Arya on her mission to the Wall to find her half-brother Jon Snow.

Wlaschiha joins the growing rank of new additions to the Game of Thrones cast.

Recent additions include Gemma Whelan who was recently cast as Yara Greyjoy (known as Yara in the books), Gwendoline Christie cast as Brienne, Stephen Dillane as Stannis Baratheon, Natalie Dormer as Margery Tyrell and Carice Van Houten as Melisandre of Asshai, Nonso Anozie as Xaro Xhoan Daxos and Liam Cunningham as Ser Davos Seaworth.

Production began in Northern Ireland in July. Game of Thrones returns to our screens in 2012.
