Florence Pugh may have been making headlines with the rumors going around for Don’t Worry Darling, but she’s also set to take the spotlight with Marvel’s upcoming Suicide Squad film, Thunderbolts.
The full roster of villains had been revealed at D23, and concept artist Andy Park gives a good look at the team with Pugh’s Yelena Belova at the center. Check this out:

The full roster, from left to right, includes Valentina (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Yelena Belova (Pugh), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko).
Admittedly, there are some fans who thought the roster was kind of mid, seeing that three members are Captain America knockoffs, and there aren’t any big Hulk-level bruisers (like Abomination) or magic users (maybe Baron Mordo?). Even Taskmaster is kind of an odd choice, because it was revealed that they were just a reluctant participant in their ‘Taskmastering’. Then again, when it comes to these villains-working-for-the-good-guys trope, I think the team is all about putting together reluctant participants.
Maybe we’ll get to see more of the team soon. Baron Zemo was promised to be part of the team, but we don’t see him at all. Personally, I’m excited to see Yelena and Red Guardian back. The two were great additions in Black Widow, and it’s going to be fun watching their dynamic on the big screen again.
Thunderbolts is expected to hit theaters on July 26, 2024.
