Each season of The Boys has managed to bring in some memorable guest stars from Haley Joel Osment to last season’s Jensen Ackles, and Karl Urban has shared a look at incoming cast member Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

We don’t have any details of what Morgan’s role in the series is going to be, but seeing him in a suit and tie, I suspect that he’s more of a pencil pusher than someone who works on the field like Butcher. Either Morgan’s character works for Vought and is friends with Butcher, or he could be a government agent that’s in charge of wrangling Butcher and his team.
With Morgan best known for his roles in Watchmen and The Walking Dead, you can bet that he’s comic book movie royalty, and I’m hoping that The Boys managed to give him a memorable role for the fourth season. We don’t have an official synopsis yet, but the major plot points in the finale include the fact that Butcher is now terminally dying from use of Temporary V, and he’s also lost his adoptive son Ryan to Homelander, who seems to be pushing Ryan to a path that could also turn him into an unstoppable sociopath.
No release date has been announced for Season 4 of The Boys yet, but with production ending this week, we could be looking at a premiere either late this year or early 2024. Fingers crossed it’s the former.
