Apple TV+ may not be the most popular streaming service, but they have managed to deliver some great shows with titles like Ted Lasso and Mythic Quest. Now they’re set to deliver a retro-futuristic series called Hello Tomorrow! and we have a first look with cast members Billy Crudup, Haneefah Wood, Hank Azaria, Alison Pill, and Nicholas Podany.
Check this out:
Though the idea of people selling timeshares on the moon sounds ridiculous, the show does take place in a retro-future, were everything looks like a hyper-advanced 1950s. If you didn’t tell me this Hello Tomorrow! I would have immediately thought that this was a prequel to Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout series.
So far, the series looks all smiles and fun, but the preview did tease something darker beneath the surface. I doubt that anyone will be going to the moon, but if there’s an impending atomic/nuclear disaster, I think Apple could have some kind of copyright lawsuit on their hands.
Here’s the official description for the show:
Set in a retro-future world, Hello Tomorrow! centers around a group of traveling salesmen hawking lunar timeshares. Billy Crudup stars as Jack, a salesman of great talent and ambition, whose unshakeable faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his coworkers, revitalizes his desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him.
Hello Tomorrow! premieres on Apple TV+ on Feb. 17.
