The CW may have only taken on 3 new dramas for Fall 2018 (with 2 more planned for mid-season), but that hasn’t stopped the network from axing 3 staples from their schedule this year.
As confirmed Thursday, Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will end their runs following their respective fifth and fourth seasons this year. Additionally, iZombie’s upcoming fifth season will be its last.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will complete its current run when it returns this fall. According to the CW’s primetime schedule, the show will air Fridays at 9/8c.
Meanwhile, both Jane the Virgin and iZombie will premiere midseason, along with newcomers Roswell, New Mexico, and In the Dark.
The CW has also given series orders to 3 new dramas, planned to air over Fall 2018 — a promising Charmed reboot, starring Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, and Madeleine Mantock, football drama All American, based on the experiences of NFL player Spencer Paysinger, and Vampire Diaries franchise spin-off Legacies.
