'Fifty Shades Freed' Official Trailer: A Happy Ending Threatened

It’s going to be one steamy February with the conclusion of the Fifty Shades franchise in “Fifty Shades Freed.” Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are set to reprise their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele for one last time—and it sure does start on a happy note and ends in a rather suspenseful way.

The franchise has established itself as focusing on Christian’s fondness for BDSM and Anastasia’s attachment to him. There were numerous scandals in the past two movies, but it all boils down to their hot, steamy sex. Admit it, you can’t watch the movie and not expect some sort of outrageous and wild sex!

‘Fifty Shades Freed’ is something you wouldn’t expect as an ending

The latest trailer for “Fifty Shades Freed” shows Christian and Anastasia finally married (with each of them referring to each other in the third person as “husband” and “wife”). However, things are not as good and happy as it seems when Christian introduces her to their new home’s architect—an obviously sleazy woman who’s somewhat out for Christian’s package. There’s also a tease of action, and we’re getting the feeling that this won’t be the typical Fifty Shades movie that we’ve grown accustomed to.
The “Fifty Shades Freed” synopsis reads, “Believing they have left behind shadowy figures from their past, newlyweds Christian and Ana fully embrace an inextricable connection and a shared life of luxury. But just as she steps into her role as Mrs. Grey and he relaxes into an unfamiliar stability, new threats could jeopardize their happy ending before it even begins.”
Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden, Eric Johnson, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Jennifer Ehle, Eloise Mumford, Max Martini, Callum Keith Rennie, Bruce Altman and Robinne Lee are back to reprise their roles, with newcomers Arielle Kebbel and Brant Daugherty. The film is directed by “House of Cards'” James Foley and produced by Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti, and Marcus Viscidi, with the Fifty Shades novel writer EL James co-producing.
“Fifty Shades Freed” hits theaters February 9, 2018.
