A new featurette for “Fear The Walking Dead” was released today and includes some new footage for the second half of Season 3, along with commentary from the main cast.
The video goes on to reveal that in the midseason finale, the battle between the Broke Jaw Ranch and the Native Americans wasn’t actually resolved. The Nation is assuming power after Madison sets up a deal with the group’s leader. With a lot of lives on the line, Madison decided that the best way to repair the damage done was to kill Jeremiah Otto (Dayton Callie), with whom the Nation leader, Walker (Michael Greyeyes) has a personal history with. But in a surprising turn of events, Nick (Frank Dillane) took it upon himself to kill Jeremiah himself, despite the friendship that blossomed between the two during the season. Jeremiah’s death was a twist that helped usher in a truce with Walker.
Fear The Walking Dead: ‘All Bets Are Off’
In Entertainment Weekly’s latest “Fear The Walking Dead” Season 3 featurette, fans are given a look at the remaining episodes of the season. Comments from Executive Producer Dave Erickson and the cast are also present, telling fans that “all bets are off” and introducing a new major storyline. The cast also describes the second half of the season as “messy” and “dramatic,” with lots of action and narrative shifts that will take the series “deeper into the apocalypse.” Alycia Debnam,-Carey, who plays Alicia, reveals that there is some kind of a “leadership vacuum” within the ranch group.

Though Jake (Sam Underwood) officially assumes leadership of the group now that his father Jeremiah is dead, Madison will actually be the one in control (as she always was), and like every “Walking Dead” plot, the group will be united against a common threat and goal—at least, not right away.
“Fear The Walking Dead” Season 3 returns September 10th on AMC. Watch the featurette below:
