A lot of fans were excited to see John Krasinski cast as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange 2, but it looks like Marvel is going with someone else for the part.
According to @MyTimeToShineH, for the past few weeks, Star Wars vet Adam Driver has been in talks to play the part of the MCU’s Smartest Man, and talks have allegedly been finalized. Here’s the post:
It's done. Adam Driver is our Reed Richards.

So far, nothing official has been announced from Marvel’s end, so we should take this news with a grain of salt. If anything, a lot of fans are happy to see Driver taking on an MCU role. He has proven himself to be a very capable actor besides his work on Star Wars; now it will only be a matter of Marvel using Driver’s talents to their fullest.
Personally, I was in the camp that wanted Dev Patel (The Green Knight) or Rahul Kohli (Midnight Mass) for the part, but I guess Marvel wanted to go a different director with Reed Richards. With Fantastic Four rumors coming out every few weeks, hopefully we can get the announcement for the new cast soon.
With the MCU just starting out Phase 5, a lot of fans are wondering just when the Fantastic Four and X-Men could be making their debut. Though Quantumania wasn’t the hit that everyone was expecting, it seems that a lot of people are back on the MCU train after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Fantastic Four is expected to hit cinemas on Feb. 14, 2025.
