Famke Janssen and Ryan Eggold Talk THE BLACKLIST REDEMPTION

Fans of NBC’s The Blacklist know that Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) has been having a hard time of it lately.

Finally reunited with his wife (Megan Boone) and baby daughter, Tom is now facing a greater mystery surrounding his own origins, and his mother Scottie Hargrave (Famke Janssen.)

Tom’s search for answers has led to a number of dead ends in recent episodes, with Red warning him not to approach Hargrave if he truly wants to know about his past.

What’s Tom to do but kick off his own personal investigation in his very own spin-off series The Blacklist Redemption, with with a number of memorable Blacklisters along for the ride including Tom’s own nemesis Matias Solomon (Edi Gathegi), Nez Rowan (Tawny Cypress) and hacker Dumont (Adrian Martinez).

While Tom intends to use his time with Scottie to unearth secrets about his past, his cohorts are out to attempt to regain their self-worth after a lifetime of inflicting damage on the world. But will taking on the cases governments don’t dare touch be enough to repair their damaged souls?

Luckily both Ryan Eggold and Famke Janssen are on hand to answer that question and more in our new and extensive video interview with The Blacklist Redemption stars.

The new series officially kicks off Thursday, February 23 on NBC at 10 pm.

A note to all you Blacklist fans: tonight’s episode “The Apothecary” airs at an air earlier time (9-10 p.m. ET) to make space for tonight’s special Redemption premiere at 10.00 pm. Redemption will then fill The Blacklist’s time slot over the following weeks while Red and Lizzie take 8 week Winter hiatus.
