When Ju-Hyeok sees Hye-won, he immediately pretends he’s only removing something from Wu-jin’s head. Later at home, Hye-won asks about Wu-jin. She remembers seeing Wu-jin’s name tag on the passenger seat of Ju-Hyeok’s car before, so she tells Ju-Hyeok not to give a ride to female employees again. The next day, the branch manager sends Wu-jin and Jong-hu to meet with some clients. Everything goes smoothly, and everything is almost done until Wu-jin receives a phone call that her mom is missing.
Back in the office, Wu-jin’s mom walks in looking for Ju-Hyeok. She wants to give him the food she made. As soon as she sees him, she calls him her son-in-law loud enough for everyone to hear. Everyone turns their heads to look at the old woman. Thinking that the old woman is the rich mother of Ju-Hyeok’s wife, Mr. Byeon and the bank manager pay her special attention. But then Ju-Hyeok tells them his mother-in-law has to go. “It’s surprising how she dresses so humbly. I never would’ve imagined,” one of the employees says. “I heard that real rich ladies don’t make it too obvious,” Hwan adds. While in the car, Wu-jin’s mom thanks Ju-Hyeok for being with Wu-jin. She says Wu-jin thinks of Ju-Hyeok as her lifesaver. Ju-Hyeok asks her how come she remembers him. “What do you mean “how”? You’re my son-in-law, of course I remember you,” Wu-jin’s mom replies.
Wu-jin finds them eating ice cream at the convenience store. Later she and Ju-Hyeok return to the bank together. While at the bank, Wu-jin realizes she must return to Jong-hu. When she returns, she sees Jong-hu helping a man carry his supplies inside the building. On their way back, Wu-jin says she will finally give her answer to Jong-hu. “Okay, let’s go out,” she says. Wu-jin says she’s not 100 percent sure about her feelings, but then she thinks Jong-hu is a nice person. They agree to casually date and keep it from the people in the office, but when they go to Ju-eun’s restaurant, they decide to tell their friends they are finally dating.
Ju-Hyeok sits at the table and listens to his sister and friend congratulate the two. Sang-Sik even invites them to a rented cabin to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Ju-eun doesn’t want to invite Hye-won, but she doesn’t have a choice because her brother is also going. On his way home, Ju-Hyeok visits his old university and remembers studying in the library with Wu-jin. Wu-jin failed her exams, so she had to work because they didn’t have any money after her father died. The night when Ju-Hyeok found Wu-jin working was the night he first kissed her.
On the day of the trip, Hye-won is not satisfied with how the cabin looks because it is not how she pictured it. She isn’t comfortable with almost everything, but no one can say a thing to her. “You have to compromise. That’s what people do here,” Ju-Hyeok tells her. They drink that night to celebrate, and when Hye-won sees that Wu-jin has all the attention, she starts drinking too to show that she also knows how to drink.
Early in the morning, Ju-Hyeok sees Wu-jin come out of the bedroom. Wu-jin looks like she’s in pain. When Ju-Hyeok approaches her, Wu-jin loses consciousness. They are all worried about Wu-jin because her fever’s not going down even if they gave her medicine. Ju-Hyeok remembers that only one type of medicine works for Wu-jin’s fever. He leaves them and starts looking for the medicine in pharmaceutical stores. Unfortunately, all of the stores are closed that morning. Luckily, one man sees Ju-Hyeok and tells him where the house of one of the store owners is. Ju-Hyeok gets the medicine he needs, but when he returns to their cabin, he sees that Jong-hu is already carrying Wu-jin to the car. He tries to stop them, but he doesn’t know how to explain to them that he is sure the medicine he has will work for Wu-jin. When Wu-jin wakes up in the hospital, she sees Jong-hu watching over her. Wu-jin apologizes for ruining everything. “Don’t say that. I feel bad. I didn’t know you were sick, and made you drink,” Jong-hu says.
They come back to the cabin so they can all go home together. Because Wu-jin has already fallen asleep in the passenger seat, Jong-hu tries to fix her seatbelt. But when Ju-Hyeok comes out of the house and sees the two in that position, he thinks they are kissing. He remains quiet on his way home, thinking about Wu-jin and Jong-hu. He hits his head on the steering wheel multiple times because of what he thinks he has seen. He spills all his coins on the passenger seat and looks for a 500 won coin made in 2006. When he can’t find what he’s looking for, he returns to the bank and calls someone to request 500 won coins. He flips each coin, looking for the ones made in 2006. He is already losing hope when he finds the coin he’s looking for.
Our Thoughts
Jong-hu is really good towards Wu-jin, so Ju-Hyeok doesn’t have anything to worry about. He decided and picked Hye-won because he was no longer happy with Wu-jin. We think it’s unfair that he keeps stopping Jong-hu from getting close to Wu-jin. They are not doing anything wrong because they are still single in their current life. Ju-Hyeok starts to see Hye-won’s true colors, and though she is not a bad person, she can sometimes be hard to deal with. We think Ju-Hyeok realized something, especially when his parents visited their house, and Hye-won couldn’t even treat them properly. Ju-Hyeok was so focused on the idea that he wanted to leave Wu-jin that he didn’t realize he really didn’t know Hye-won.
Things are going well between Jong-hu and Wu-jin. If it was someone else and not Jong-hu, would Ju-Hyeok let Wu-jin date someone else? He can’t keep on going back like such. How can he learn from his mistakes if he can always go back and make a different decision? Ju-Hyeok is the only one bothered, and everyone else is having a good time. No one but Ju-Hyeok has a problem with Wu-jin and Jong-hu dating. Ju-Hyeok doesn’t look so in love with Hye-won anymore. If he decides he wants to go back to his life with Wu-jin, then maybe he just liked Hye-won but never really loved her.
