Ju-Hyeok hides the plastic he’s holding so they won’t know he bought food for Wu-jin. Then he lies and tells them he only left something in the office. Afterward, he and Jong-hu go to Sang-Sik’s restaurant to talk about Wu-jin. Ju-Hyeok keeps on telling Jong-hu that he can’t date Wu-jin. He even goes as far as telling Jong-hu that he will introduce him to his wife’s friend, but Jong-hu says he wants Wu-jin and needs all the help he can get to date her. Ju-Hyeok keeps opposing and says Jong-hu can’t either date or marry Wu-jin because it will only bring him trouble. Jong-hu finds support from Sang-Sik, who wishes him the best.
Wu-jin is having a drink with Ju-eun. She tells her about Jong-hu and how she sees him. After talking to her friend, Wu-jin finally makes up her mind. “I’ll accept him with an open mind,” Wu-jin says. The next day at work, because they have many customers, the team leaders think they can’t have lunch at the same time. They decide Wu-jin and Jong-hu should go ahead and have their lunch. Worried that the two will spend time with just each other, Ju-Hyeok asks permission from Mr. Byeon to let him have his lunch with them. Ju-Hyeok makes sure to play tricks so Jong-hu can’t make his moves on Wu-jin. When it’s just the two of them, Jong-hu asks Ju-Hyeok why he can’t date Wu-jin. But since Ju-Hyeok can’t tell the truth that Wu-jin was his wife, Jong-hu tells him to stop interfering. After work, Jong-hu takes his bike to go home with Wu-jin, who rides her bike every day. They meet Sang-Sik on the way, so he invites them over after finding out that Wu-jin is the woman Jong-hu is talking about. Ju-Hyeok happens to be at the restaurant, and that’s how they discover how they are all connected. Ju-Hyeok pretends not to pay attention to Wu-jin and Jong-hu. “I hope it works out well between you two,” Ju-eun says.
The next day, Ju-Hyeok’s mind is elsewhere while he plays golf with his in-laws. He only pays attention when he realizes he wants to eat something else because he’s had enough of eating steak all the time. After borrowing Ju-Hyeok’s car, Jong-hu goes to the seminar venue with Wu-jin. He plans on getting to know her more so they can start dating. Employees from the other banks keep greeting Jong-hu, so Wu-jin knows he’s popular with the ladies. Jong-hu tries to explain himself, but Wu-jin says it’s okay since it’s all in the past.
Meanwhile, Hyeon-Su and Hye-won see each other again at the gym. Afterward, Hyeon-Su finally confesses his feelings to Hye-won. Hye-won looks surprised when she hears Hyeon-Su say he likes her. She tells Hyeon-Su he’s gone too far and that some things can’t be done. “I know. I saw your ring before,” Hyeon-Su admits. “I’ll do my best to give up on you. I’ll hold myself back. But if that doesn’t work, I don’t know what I’ll do,” he adds. When he returns, he throws the car key to his friend who scolds him for being gone too long. It turns out that the luxury car doesn’t belong to Hyeon-Su. He works as a valet. They only lied to the car‘s owner so he could use it to show off to Hye-won. Hyeon-Su’s friend warns him that he will get caught someday. “You’re using someone else’s car, you fake being a college student, and now you act like the son of a CEO?” his friend tells him. “High risk, high return,” Hyeon-Su replies, smiling. He tells his friend he will play hard to get and get Hye-won to like him. Then he takes out his phone and searches for more information about Hye-won. Before they met at the gym, he knew that Hye-won was the only daughter of a wealthy family and that she teaches music in school as a hobby.
Ju-Hyeok gets worried when Sang-Sik says that Jong-hu is not answering his phone. Everything goes inside his head, especially when Sang-Sik keeps saying that anything can happen because it’s just the two of them. Ju-Hyeok leaves the restaurant to go where the seminar is taking place — Yangyang. It’s already late, but as soon as he arrives at the venue, he starts looking around for Wu-jin. When he sees a man and a woman kissing in the dark, Ju-Hyeok loses hope. Luckily, when they turned around, they were not Jong-hu and Wu-jin.
On his way back to the building, Ju-Hyeok sees the two. He lies to Jong-hu and says that his father-in-law’s car broke down, so he needs to use his car. Jong-hu thinks it’s nonsense because Ju-Hyeok can just use Hye-won’s car, but Ju-Hyeok has an answer for everything. In the end, Jong-hu believes him. Ju-Hyeok eats his dinner while Jong-hu and Wu-jin drink at the same table. He tries to distract them so they can’t be close, but things move so fast for the two and they are closer than before. “When I want to cry, but don’t have a reason to do so, that’s when I watch romance movies. So I can cry,” Wu-jin says. After hearing it, Ju-Hyeok goes to the toilet and thinks of the time when he saw Wu-jin cry. He remembers Wu-jin asked him to miss work to attend her father’s memorial service, but he always said he was busy. When he came home, Wu-jin would cry while watching romance movies. Ju-Hyeok feels guilty; he didn’t see it before. When he comes back, Wu-jin has already fallen asleep. “You didn’t become a monster. It was me, who turned you into a monster,” he says. He pats Wu-jin’s head slightly just like he did before. Wu-jin opens her eyes, and Ju-Hyeok pretends as if he is trying to remove something from her hair. On his way home, Ju-Hyeok sees the man who gave him the 500 won coins on the train. He runs after the man, but because there are many people, Ju-Hyeok loses him.
Ju-Hyeok finishes late at work the next day. Wu-jin takes the chance to talk to him in private since the other employees have gone home already. Wu-jin walks closer to Ju-Hyeok, takes his hand, and places it on top of her head. Ju-Hyeok forgot he’s supposed to go home together with Hye-won. “Honey,” Hye-won says while looking at Ju-Hyeok holding Wu-jin‘s head.
Our Thoughts
Ju-Hyeok should just stop what he’s doing. We get that he’s just worried about Wu-jin, but it‘s a different life. If Wu-jin was his wife in his previous life, that was all in the past. He decided to leave his wife and family to be with Hye-won. Only he knows what really happened before, so if he continues to get involved with Wu-jin, to other people’s eyes, it might look like he’s cheating on Hye-won. That would be bad for Wu-jin as well. She’s not doing anything, but Ju-Hyeok keeps on approaching her.
We think Jong-hu will be a good boyfriend to Wu-jin, so Ju-Hyeok should just let it go. Whatever he says won’t be believable. He can’t tell them that Wu-jin was his wife in his previous life. Still, Wu-jin keeps on dreaming about Ju-Hyeok. She always dreams of a life with him and getting married, but she never sees Ju-Hyeok’s face in her dreams. If they really went back in time and this is a different timeline, then how come Wu-jin dreams of her previous life with Ju-Hyeok? It‘s surprising that Hyeon-Su only wants Hye-won because she’s rich. We didn’t see that coming. We thought he just liked Hye-won because she’s really pretty.
