Expect Another Time Jump for Stranger Things 5

Stranger Things is back again with a fourth season, and everyone is waiting to see what the aftermath with Vecna is going to be in July. We know that The Duffer Brothers want to end the show with Season 5, and they say we should expect another time jump between the Season 4 finale and the start of Stranger Things 5.
Talking to TV Line, co-creator Ross Duffer explains, “I’m sure we will do a time jump… Ideally, we’d have shot [Seasons 4 and 5] back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that.” Matt Duffer also says, “The ending is the hard thing… That’s obviously the stressful thing. We really want to stick the landing.”
The great thing about Stranger Things is how they’ve managed to top themselves every season while at the same time making the story progression feel very organic. We thought the Mind Flayer was already pretty terrifying, but they’ve somehow managed to give us another monster in the form of Vecna—and they also managed to tie him up wonderfully with the Hawkins Lab and Eleven’s origin.
We don’t know what we can expect from a time jump, but it would be great if we can have some peace between the characters for a while. We know that Will Byers had been the big victim of the earlier seasons, but when it comes to character development in Season 4, it seems that his older brother Jonathan has been pushed to the wayside. Hopefully Jonathan gets some kind of redemption arc in Volume 2, because I kind of don’t want Nancy to regress back to Steve—no matter how much Steve has grown in the past seasons.
Stranger Things 4 Vol. 1 is now available on Netflix, and Vol. 2 comes out on July 1.
