Elvis Takes on the Manson Family in New Clip from Agent Elvis

It looks like Elvis isn’t the only 70s icon that’s in the spotlight for Netflix’s animated Agent Elvis. The series actually features a lot of other prominent pop-culture figures, and a new clip has the King and his team going up against the Manson Family.
Check it out:
The clip basically has everything we can expect from the show, from over the top action/violence to fictional takes on real people. While it’s very possible Elvis didn’t take out a squad of Manson Family cult members, it was a known thing that the members were usually drugged out by Manson, even when he had them committing murders for him.
Besides Manson, other characters that are based on real people in the show include Howard Hughes, Kurt Russell, Stanley Kubrick, and Paul McCartney. I’m wondering if there’s actually room for a young Quentin Tarantino to be squeezed into the show.
After the hype of the Baz Luhrmann Elvis movie, the release of this series kind of comes with perfect timing. While it may not be a continuation of the story of Elvis’ rise to stardom, I think it’s a fun take on Elvis as a figure, and should also be a silly trip down 70s pop -culture.
Here’s the series description:
This ten episode, Netflix adult animation series from Sony Pictures Animation is an irreverent action comedy starring Matthew McConaughey as Elvis Presley and follows Elvis as he lives a double-life as a secret agent.
Agent Elvis is now streaming on Netflix.
