Who is Mycroft Holmes, really? This was the question plaguing Elementary fans following the show’s last episode which found Sherlock and his brother in a race against time to save Joan from execution at the hands of her kidnappers.
Just when we all assumed that Mycroft was about to abandon Joan to her fate and deliver a valuable asset to another interested buyer, Sherlock’s brother surprised us all by revealing his involvement with the British Intelligence agency MI6.
Has Mycroft been working for British Intelligence all along? It would certainly go a long way to explaining some of his secretive behavior in recent episodes.
The good news is the mystery continues to unfold in the show’s May 8 episode as Rhhys Ifans continues his guest role as the unfathomable Mycroft.
According to recent details from CBS “Art in the Blood” will see Holmes and Watson coming into contact with the British intelligence agency when their standard murder investigation turns out to have international and political implications.
Meanwhile, in the wake of a Joan’s kidnapping, Watson reevaluates her relationships with both Sherlock and his brother, Mycroft. Does this mean Joan is definitely moving out?
Catch it Thursday, May 8 (10:01-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Elementary stars Jonny Lee Miller (Sherlock Holmes), Lucy Liu (Joan Watson), Aidan Quinn (Captain Tommy Gregson) and Jon Michael Hill (Detective Marcus Bell).
“Art in the Blood” was written by Bob Goodman and directed by Guy Ferland.
