Dynasty Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger no one saw coming. In Steve Carrington (James Mackay) and Sammy Joe’s (Rafael de la Fuente) wedding, an unknown character sets the Carrington estate on fire. This traps the Carringtons inside the burning stable where Alexis Carrington (Nicolette Sheridan) and Cristal Flores (Nathalie Kelley) fought their claws out for the family. In the last scenes, the family gets out of the house, but Steven gets left behind. Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies) watches over the burning house while saying “Oh my God.”
Dynasty Season 2
The show is a reboot to the 1981 TV classic of the same name. It is about a family, the Carringtons, who are a multi-million dollar dynasty owning a company in Atlanta, Georgia. Although they are successful in business, the storyline revolves around the story of how each family member wants the throne to themselves. Hence, the dynasty revolves all over again.
In an interview from TVLine, Liz Gillies answers questions related to the Season 2 of the hit The CW show. When asked what her insight is about the pool fight, she said that it t was crazy and insane. “I mean… it was really cold. It was the bleak winter. You could see that the grass was not there, it is yellow, it is cold,” Gillies adds. “And we were there for four hours drowning each other. It was like her [Nicolette Sheridan] third day. Whatever.”
But when asked who she will save from the burning house, she answered as her character Fallon. “Fallon, I think her mind… Her brother is there too,” said Gillies. “She’d have to pick Steven. She loves Culhane, but we can get over a lover. It’s my little brother! Although she is so random… the last name she said was Culhane.” she adds.
Although her character and Blake Carrington’s (Hugh Grant) character often fight with each other, Gillies still hopes for a fist fight with his father. “I’ll get into a lot of trouble if I fought Blake,” she says. “If they did a really equal fight that we both get black eyes, what happens next?”
Nicolette Sheridan Stays, Season 2 Confirmed
Meanwhile, the producers of the show and The CW pushes Nicolette Sheridan as a mainstay in the show for Season 2. Entering the show midway, Sheridan claims that Alexis is a “force” to be reckoned with. Although there are no details on what’s next for Alexis in the show, it’s sure as hell that she’s bringing it to the table. Plus she has deeds to settle with Cristal, Fallon, and Blake. Surviving the fire indicates something good for the viewers of the show.
According to Den of Geeks, The CW confirmed Dynasty for a second season. However, there is no exact premiere date yet. But if following the format for the show, Fridays at 8 pm, the show might be back on the air by October 12.
