Scarlet Witch’s allegiance has been up in the air when it comes to the previews for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but the latest teaser seems to solidify just exactly where Wanda stands in the next MCU film.
Watch this:
To catch up from WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff is left hiding after the events in Westview, and it looks like Doctor Strange will be recruiting her to help him with whatever Multiverse shenanigans he finds himself in.
My guess is that Wanda actually agrees to help, but then discovers a way to get Vision and her children back via the Multiverse. Strange and the rest of the sorcerers don’t agree, resulting in Wanda going at it herself, turning her into the unwitting villain—at least, that’s my guess anyway.
With so many fans rooting for Wanda since WandaVision, it sounds like we could have another Civil War (but this time magic) in our hands. With Wanda being kind of a bland character when it comes to her movie portrayal, it would be great if we actually got to see some more character on her side—resulting in the more chaotic Scarlet Witch from the comics. I mean, she does control “Chaos Magic”, so lean in on that, Marvel.
Doctor Stephen Strange casts a forbidden spell that opens a portal to the multiverse. However, a threat emerges that may be too big for his team to handle.
Catch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness when it hits theaters on May 4. To catch up on Scarlet Witch’s story, WandaVision is now available on Disney+.
