Doctor Strange 2: Elizabeth Olsen Never Met John Krasinski

[SPOILERS FOR DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS]

It’s been more than two weeks since the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and now everyone is letting loose with spoilers. What’s funny is, though one of the highlights of the film was Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) taking on Mr. Fantastic (John Krasinski), the two have never actually met.

This was confirmed by Elizabeth Olsen who was taking a lie detector test for Vanity Fair. When she was asked if she thought Krasinski was the smartest man alive, she (truthfully) replied, “No (laughs), I don’t know him though. But I would never assume an actor would be the smartest man alive… No, I’ve never met him… I’ve never met that man. I’ve met his wife.”

“I hate to say it, I hope I don't sound ridiculous, I don't know who this man is. I mean, he could be walking down the street, and I wouldn't know a thing. Sorry to this man. I’ve met his wife, though.”

Though Reed Richards was one of the biggest reveals in the movie, leaks online have confirmed that he wasn’t originally planned to make an appearance. At one point, Thor’s brother Balder was supposed to be part of the Illuminati, but I guess Krasinski as Mr. Fantastic would have the bigger reveal. Even Anson Mount as Black Bolt was said to be a late addition as well.

We don’t know what the future holds for Olsen as the Scarlet Witch, because, even if Wanda died in the movie, the opening of the multiverse means there is always a chance for her to return. Hopefully we get a non-corrupted Wanda back, since it’s kind of tragic how her story ends, seeing as to how long we’ve been following her journey since Age of Ultron.
