[SPOILERS FOR DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS]
Though the majority of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has Strange hung-up on Christine Palmer, the film does contain a mid-credits scene that introduces us to Strange’s love interest in the comics, Clea, played by Charlize Theron.
While a lot of fans weren’t expecting Theron to appear, she has shared a new image of herself in character beside Benedict Cumberbatch:

In the comics, Clea eventually becomes the wife of Strange and also adapts the Sorceress Supreme mantle. In the comics, she actually hails from the Dark Dimension, the thing that Strange was tackling way back in the first movie.
Personally, I thought the introduction of Clea was pretty klunky in the film, but I guess it goes the benefits will come with her next appearance, in which we can now see that she’s established a friendship with Strange, and we don’t have to go through the hoops of explaining her origin or getting Strange to trust her.
Admittedly, I was a tad disappointed with the ‘multiverse’ aspect of the movie seeing that the concept had been handled so well by Spider-Man: No Way Home and Rick and Morty. Then again, some fans are speculating that the event that fans are really waiting for is Secret Wars, which is rumoured to be the next Avengers-level crossover.
Until we get official confirmation though, all we can really do is wait and see.
Catch Clea in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now in theaters.
