We know that Marvel Studios wants Ryan Reynolds back as Deadpool, and though we don’t know when that’s going to happen, some concept art from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings reveals that DP could have made his MCU debut sooner.

Granted, it’s just concept art, but I’m sure fans would have flipped out if they saw Deadpool finally appear in the MCU. If anything, they kind of achieved the same kind of effect when they had Wong fight someone like The Abomination, who we haven’t seen since The Incredible Hulk back in 2008.
We don’t know when Deadpool will make his MCU debut, but some are speculating that it could happen with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. With Patrick Stewart confirmed for an appearance, it would be easy to write in Deadpool falling into one of America Chavez’s multiverse portals. I just think it would be funny if DP shows up and decides to stay in the MCU because his universe got ‘cancelled by Disney’.
With shows like What If…? and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel is slowly easing us into the idea of a multiverse. We’re expecting all of this to culminate in the next Doctor Strange movie, but admittedly things don’t feel as hyped up as they should be. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 06.
