The full announced slate includes Creature Commandos (animated series), Waller (HBO Max series), Superman: Legacy (movie), Lanterns (TV Series), The Authority (movie), Paradise Lost (HBO Max series), Batman: The Brave and the Bold (Movie), Booster Gold (HBO Max Series), Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (movie), and Swamp Thing (movie).
Gunn also confirms that The Flash will be rebooting the DCEU timeline, and other properties like The Batman Part II and Joker: Folie a deux will be released under the DC Elseworlds banner. The Black Superman project is also still in active development and will fall under the Elsworlds banner. DC co-head Peter Safran says, “The bar is going to be very high for projects to be outside the DCU, the Elseworlds projects… But every now and then there will be something that lives up to that.”
We don’t have an official look or any concept art for upcoming projects, but everything seems to be in very early stages, with the Superman movie set to release in 2025. For now, it looks like Gunn and Safran are just focused on integrating the current DC projects into their full reboot of the universe, and while some things will be lost, we do have a lot to gain moving forward.
For now, DC is gearing up for the release of Shazam! Fury of the Gods which comes out March 17.
