If you were hoping that a Guardians of the Galaxy actor/former WWE Superstar would join the Fast and Furious franchise alongside John Cena and The Rock, you might want to think again. Dave Bautista clearly isn’t a fan of the franchise when he reacted to a tweet pitched by a fan regarding the Fast and Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw.
Dave Bautista Slams Fast and Furious Tweet
On Saturday a tweet surfaced online and caught the attention of 50-year-old actor Dave Bautista. The exchange happened when a fan tweeted that Bautista should star as a potential villain in the Fast and Furious spinoff alongside fellow WWE superstars Dwane “The Rock” Johnson who joined the franchise in 2011, and Cena who will be joining the upcoming ninth installment. Bautista then sarcastically responded to the tweet by writing, “Thank you for your consideration,” adding two “throw-up” emojis. Bautista then added a shady hashtag: “I’d rather do good films.”
🤢…..thank you for your consideration…🤮 #idratherdogoodfilms https://t.co/7VT0wFG6bY

The Fast and Furious franchise is now back in business as the production of the ninth installment kicked off with its mainstay actor Vin Diesel posting set videos. Fast and Furious 9 is scheduled to be released May 2020. In addition to the film, the franchise will also release a spinoff movie, “Hobbs and Shaw” starring Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and Idris Elba. Hobbs and Shaw hits theaters August 2, 2019.
Dave Bautista Has Other Plans
In addition to the sarcastic hashtag #IdRatherDoGoodFilms,’ Bautista reminded his fans of his planned 2018 film “Escape Plan 2” with a tweet reading, “Genius! Big Dave didn’t state that he’s never done a bad film. But I did them for particular reasons that helped build an ‘acting’ career. And I got to work with Sly so in your face with that! You’re dismissed!”
