Dark Matter: The Crew Attempt a Daring Heist With Deadly Repercussions

It seems inconceivable, but over the next couple of episodes the crew of Dark Matter’s Raza will be forced to put aside all their petty (and in some cases not so petty) grievances in order to survive.

Episodes 10 and 11 will explore a storyline in which a tempting job opportunity slowly turns into a nightmare for our misfits when they are forced to steal a mysterious package while working alongside another group of mercenaries.

We’ve seen the first of this tense two-parter a little earlier than most (thanks again Syfy) and have a collection of tidbits to share with like-minded fans.

Between A Rock and a Tempting Place

When we last checked in on our favorite would-be mercenaries, they were marooned in space with a damaged FTL drive, and looking down the wrong end of a Ferrous Corporation missile. It would take a miracle to get out of this one — or at least something that seems like a miraculous break.

Facing death one moment, and the possibility of getting rich the next, One, Three, Four and Six hold a secret ‘man meeting’ to discuss their good fortune and debate whether they should proceed with a new job offer without Two’s seal of approval.

It’s a gem of a moment which proves just how scared of Two the male crew actually are.

When confronted by the others as to whether he will side with his girlfriend, One huffs “I’m my own man, with my own mind.”

With the door closed. In a whisper. Looking over his shoulder. Nervously.

Because everyone should be afraid of incurring Two’s wrath. As you will see.
