Daredevil Revival Moves Forward at Disney+

Netflix’s Daredevil series had ended back in 2018, but with the appearance of Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Kingpin in Hawkeye, fans are wondering just when Disney is ready to put the spotlight back on Daredevil. The good news is, the Man without Fear could be coming back pretty soon.

Variety reports that Disney is officially moving forward with a  Daredevil revival with Covert Affairs writers Matt Corman and Chris Ord. We don’t have any kind of official announcement, but we can bet that Daredevil series vets Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio would be coming back to reprise their roles. We’ll be lucky if we get other characters like Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) back.

For all the praise that the Daredevil series got, the show certainly isn’t perfect. While the show does have some very grounded things for Matt Murdock to handle, I thought the series got kind of silly the moment the ninjas started coming around. It also didn’t help when they brought Elektra back and the Defenders series became all about them taking on the Hand.

With a Multiverse established, it would be great if Marvel Studios would take what worked with the series and what didn’t. The casting is still solid, and I would love if they got Jon Bernthal (Punisher) and Kirsten Ritter (Jessica Jones) to reprise their roles. Even Finn Jones deserves another go at Iron Fist—heck, they can put him in the Shang-Chi sequel.

No release date has been announced for the Daredevil revival.
