Vincent D’Onofrio had a small run as the Kingpin in the Hawkeye series on Disney+, but he’s set to return alongside Charlie Cox in the MCU reboot of Daredevil subtitled Born Again.
We don’t have any official trailers or teasers from Marvel yet, but some set photos have come out of D’Onofrio in costume as Wilson Fisk. Check him out:

Though we’ve seen Fisk in suits before, this kind of feels like a plain outfit for the Kingpin, complete with white collar and tie. It’s possible this could be a flashback, but I can imagine that this part of the story happens after the events of Hawkeye.
Then again, Kingpin’s appearance in Hawkeye did end with him having some kind of altercation with his niece Maya. In the comics, Maya actually leaves the Kingpin blinded, but since there’s nothing around his eyes here, I’m guessing Maya injured him somewhere else—or my previous guess, this is a flashback of a young Fisk before he becomes the Kingpin.
I’m still waiting to get a first look before I jump in on the Born Again bandwagon, but Marvel definitely kept the best parts of the Netflix series with Cox and D’Onofrio. While I am sad to see Foggy and Karen Page recast, I think there’s a good chance to retell their origins and establish their relationships with Matt once again.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Daredevil: Born Again is yet to get a release date, but fans are hoping for an early 2024 release on Disney+.
