'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Season 3 Trailer: It's Time For Rebecca's Payback

“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” has enjoyed a pretty solid following (despite stagnant ratings) after 2 hilarious seasons on The CW. And now that Season 3 is coming, the official trailer released shows Rebecca out for Josh’s blood—well, figuratively, of course.
The show, which features colorful musical numbers and commentaries on singlehood, will pick up where it left Rebecca hanging. Back in the previous “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” season, Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom) was about to marry Josh Chan (Vincent Rodriguez) when he suddenly left her in the alter to pursue the priesthood. This left Rebecca horrified, seeing how Josh has been the center of her life. Because of this, revenge is the one thing on Rebecca’s mind.
‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ Season 3: Josh is going down!
The new “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” trailer shows Rebecca getting ready to take Josh down no matter what it takes. She enlists the help of her friends Valencia (Gabrielle Ruiz), Heather (Vella Lovell) and Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin) to help exact her revenge. It’s a complete transformation for Rebecca, from starting the show with all eyes set on getting Josh back as his boyfriend to ultimately despising him and ready to get back at what he did (being ghosted during the wedding isn’t exactly what Rebecca imagined).
The brief footage doesn’t exactly show much about what’s going to happen for season 3, or how Rebecca’s revenge will be executed. What we do know is that the entire cast will be back for the new season, and for sure it will feature more laughs, more musical numbers, and more Rebecca-what-are-you-doing situations. And now that the show will shift from a comedy-romance standpoint to a vengeful narrative, it’s also unclear how this could work out for the show’s generally positive tone. Although it’s surely going to have that same tone for sure, they will have to make the story work until the show’s expected final season.
“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” Season 3 premieres Friday, October 13th on The CW.
