Audience’s jaws dropped when Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man made a return in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but a rumor is going around that he could make another MCU cameo with Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While we have no official confirmation, one IG post from a Portugese voice actress may have given fans a clue.
This was found by @SpideyUpdate (via ComicBookMovie) who reports that Mariana Torres, the Portugese voice actress for Wanda, uploaded an IG story with Manolo Rey, the voice actor for Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. She also captions the post “Good things are coming.”

If anything, this could be for something completely different, but what are the odds that Maguire would make another cameo in the Doctor Strange sequel? You’d think that Sam Raimi would’ve asked him to make a return as well.
While we don’t have an official breakdown of the plot of the Doctor Strange sequel, rumors are going around that the movie will be a ‘celebration of all things Marvel’ with cameos coming from several other versions of characters. Besides actors like Patrick Stewart (Professor X) and Sophie Turner (Jean Grey) rumored to return, there are even whispers of variants like Tom Cruise’s Tony Stark appearing in the movie.
With No Way Home managing to keep its trap shut about the Spider-Man reunion, I wonder how Marvel is going to sell this next movie. Would a Doctor Strange v Evil Doctor Strange story be enough? Or does the audience need some more fanservice?
For now, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to hit theaters on May 6.
