Could Mike Colter be Returning as Luke Cage?

Rumors have been flying around that Krysten Ritter will be reprising her role as Jessica Jones in Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again, but a recent story from Ritter has everyone speculating that another Marvel Netflix alum could also be making the jump to Disney+.

In a recent IG story (via @MCU_Direct), Ritter shares a photo with Mike Colter a.k.a. Luke Cage a.k.a. Power Man. It doesn’t confirm anything official, but the “Hey hey Power Man” caption is enough to get fans speculating. Check it:

With Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio making their returns to the MCU, it would make sense that other Marvel Netflix actors would make the jump as well. Admittedly, I’m not that big a fan of the characterization of Colter’s Luke Cage, but I think this would be a great opportunity to really give him that rough-around-the-edges characterization from the comics; I thought the Netflix version was too clean-cut to be that interesting.

Then again, this is all just speculation based on an Instagram story. Hopefully we get some kind of update soon. If you ask me, I think all of the casting for the Marvel Netflix series has been great, but the characterization is far from perfect. I mean, even Finn Jones made a good Iron Fist (in my opinion).

Daredevil: Born Again still has no specific release date, but fans are expecting something around 2024. In the meantime, you can catch the Man without Fear in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law now streaming on Disney+.
